Academic Guidance: The ERA program provides you with a contractual relationship to the distinguished Egyptian professor of your own choosing. See following section for more details.

Professional On-Site Consultancy: You will have regular meetings with Osama al-Ghazoly, a longstanding Egyptian journalist, director of the Arabic section of CIDT (ltd.), and deputy chairman of the Center for Arab-West Understanding. Osama has contacts in all aspects of Egyptian society and can provide you with vast amounts of background information.

Interview Procurement: Through our well-connected office, we will help you arrange up to four meetings per month with prominent Egyptian experts and authorities related to your topic.

Complete Office Facilities: We provide a desk, competitive Internet connection, and technical support in our multi-cultural, academic office.

Logistical Support: Our Research Assistance Coordinator will help get you settled in Cairo, including assistance in finding affordable and convenient accommodation options.*

Access to our Academic Database: You will have unrestricted access to our extensive academic database that boasts over 30,000 articles related to Arab-West and Muslim-Christian relations.

Publishing Opportunities: If desired, we will publish your paper in our online database.

Language Editing and Translation: The ERA program can also provide Arabic-English translation, as well as English language editing, if desired (see rates below).

Individualized Tour Assistance: We can help to organize individual tours according to your topic. This cost, of course, will be calculated separately from the main program and depends on the nature of the desired trip.

* Temporary furnished housing near our center ranges from 1500 to 3000 Egyptian pounds per month. Further living costs range from 1500 to 4000 additional Egyptian pounds.
